The Ven. Dao Chuan is affiliated with the Los Angeles Buddhist Union, the Minh Dang Quang Buddhist Temple in Tucson, AZ and the Vien Minh Buddhist Temple in Chandler, AZ. The Hsu Yun Buddhist Association was founded by the Ven. Dao Chuan to offer teachings in traditional Buddhism, Chan meditation and to make available a full range of religious services including, but not limited to; weddings, funerals, house blessings, visitation to the sick and the dying, etc. It is based in Tucson, AZ.
![]() Venerable Dao Chuan Minh Dang Quang Temple Shrine Room We are incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Arizona and are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a religious foundation and church. We are approved under section 501-C-3 of the IRS code making all donations tax deductible. The Ven. Dao Chuan is the on call Buddhist Chaplain for most hospitals in Tucson area and a monk of the Minh-Dhang-Quang Buddhist Temple where there are three Buddhist nuns in residence. We have a prison ministry headed up by Rev. Ron Brickey. The temple is located at 140 E. Navajo Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705. Tel: 520-690-7972. It is between Fort Lowel and Prince roads and about two blocks east of Oracle Rd. The practice at this temple is both Pure Land and Chan (Zen). Services are held every Sunday in English starting at 9:00 am followed by a Vietnamese service at 11:00 am. If you are new to meditation please come 15 minutes early so we can help you get started.
